Comhairle na nOg 2011/12

North Tipperary Comhairle na nOg AGM 2011 – Wednesday 12th of October in the Horse and Jockey Hotel, Thurles.

At the Annual comhairle day there will be a programme of events and workshops which include facilities for young people, Mental Health, Social Inclusion and Drugs& Sexual Health Wellbeing. The Annual Comhairle day in itself is very worthwhile and educational day for any young person. Attendees will learn about the democratic process, the different levels of political representation in Tipperary and gain knowledge from workshops.

The Comhairle na nOg (Youth Councils) are organised by the City/County development borads in each local area. The Council’s objective is to give children and young people a voice at a community level. Comhairle na nOg were established in 2002 as part of the National Childrens Strategy (2000). Each year at the Annual Comhairle Day, delegates are alected to be the Youth council (Comhairle na nOg) for the County for the coming year.
